Because of Dyslexia, the concerned association put charges that she has distorted the information while recording the water and ice chest temperatures. The claim for this situation isn't right is on the grounds that, the association thinks about her ailment and consequently, lost the body of evidence against incapacity separation. It is additionally evident that an association needs to play out their business work appropriately and they need to keep up their efficiency with the gainfulness. Anyway in this the charge on the representative for adulterating the archives is outrageous. The association ought to need to think about the enthusiastic equalization of every worker. For this situation, the casualty occasion took endeavor for self destruction and face mental injury during those days. Right off the bat, the business ought not fault unexpectedly on the representatives with respect to their faithfulness for the association. Starbucks for this situation additionally stick to the 2010 Equality Act and permit more opportunity to the worker to finish her work or give her some assistance so she could achieve her obligations inside time. The business can lead an eye to eye meeting to talk about the issue as opposed to fault on her that bring about a legal dispute, which then again, hampers the brands notoriety. Cis 205 Information Systems Paper free essay sample
Data Systems Paper Scott Clark CIS 205 June 20, 2011 Robert Meyers in the public arena today it has gotten progressively important to successfully utilize innovatively propelled Information frameworks and programming applications to run an association. In our innovatively progressed and dynamic culture, associations are being pushed to utilize and work refreshed and propelled data frameworks and programming applications to store data, process information and viably oversee everyday activities. In this paper the subject talked about will be the manner by which a CIS (PC data frameworks) can support an association, what they are, and a case of a CIS and its uses in a retail domain. Alluded to as a CIS (PC data framework), which incorporate PCs, programming, equipment, working frameworks and individuals, is significant in overseeing and running an association every day. For instance, in a retail location, a CIS can oversee efficiency, stock, plans, requesting, deals, slants in deals, and items. These of which are critical in keeping a retail business running and gainful. A CIS is essential to a retail location in that it can store, figure and track all data with respect to deals, client ways of managing money, stock, requesting of items, deals per office, deals versus a year ago, work expenses and representative efficiency. The entirety of the previously mentioned errands can be put away and recovered as fundamental by directors and chiefs to help them in appropriately staffing, taking care of departmental deals, loading of offices, and running the store day by day. With the measure of information and size of records that can be contained inside the retail business, it would be almost difficult to precisely sort and procedure these documents physically. Utilizing a decent, solid CIS, an association can follow and accumulate information rapidly to help decide if the association is on target with its deals or headed the correct way monetarily. After an associations deals information is gathered and determined, the association can follow and evaluate worker profitability, stock close by versus sold, departmental deals objectives and requirements for what's to come. Associations process electronic information every day around the world. Handling of this information permits associations to settle on compelling and far reaching business choices dependent on this information. This information can be put away basically anyplace and effectively recovered at whatever point the need emerges. In my present position, retail the executives, my principle obligations are deals, stock, and requesting items, while guaranteeing assignments are finished and representative creation is high. Deals information in my organization decides reasonable work utilization, and work cost rate which permits us to compute worker efficiency. At once, marketing projections and information were monitored physically and they were put away at the fundamental office. As of now my organization has refreshed its CIS by introducing two huge IBM server banks that permits these figures and information to be followed by programming on a business PC. Presently this information is put away at the store level and we can get to the figures and information whenever just by getting to one of our numerous business PCs. To help in requesting and stock, we have additionally moved up to hand held PCs. These PCs, called Telzons, are remote hand held PCs that permit us to check costs, stock close by and request items just by filtering the UPC name of a thing. This additionally used to be done physically, since redesigning, these PCs have set aside time and cash, yet in addition have undeniably increasingly exact estimating and stock tallies. Since the redesigning of our CIS, not just has it improved representative efficiency, stock tallies and estimating, however the updated touch screen registers at the front of the store work considerably more quickly, are progressively exact and can perform a lot a larger number of capacities than they could before. The new CIS makes it simpler for the clerks to work the registers, look at clients and permits the client to pay and leave in a negligible measure of time. On account of the new framework, the registers would now be able to follow, figure and store client and item data, which encourages us with stock requesting and deciding consumer loyalty. Current innovation and the redesign of my organizations CIS has permitted the organization to turn out to be completely robotized. Information that used to be followed and determined physically is presently in the hands of a completely computerized framework and can be followed, put away, and determined at the bit of a catch. The principle issue with the new CIS is that remote connectability, Internet connectability and framework freezes have become progressing issues. Intermittently we can't associate the telzons to the framework or interface with the web, and occasionally the registers and framework will freeze up, denying access to information and records important to carry out our responsibilities. This is something the organization is chipping away at and is step by step getting better. The fundamental enhancements required are to address the connectability issues, it is difficult to carry out our responsibilities when we can not get to the framework. I think to fix this issue they ought to have found the server banks in better regions of the store, as connectability, in every case fairly an issue, could be vastly improved if the server banks were halfway found. As this is another framework, it is expected there will be a few issues that should be dealt with and it is simply an issue of time before they are fixed. A CIS inside any association, won't just set aside time and cash, yet makes progressively compelling and productive workers. Records and information are prepared and determined quicker and information can without much of a stretch be put away and recovered relying upon an associations needs. My companyââ¬â¢s current refreshed CIS has demonstrated to merit the exertion, setting aside time and cash while permitting more capacities and highlights to be accessible to representatives permitting them to work all the more gainfully. In spite of the fact that there are a few issues that join another CIS, those for the most part will be turned out after some time. A decent, solid CIS in any association will end up being time and cash sparing alongside being amazingly savvy after some time. Data Systems Paper

A Comparative Analysis of Heart of Darkness and A Passage to India - Literature Essay Samples
At a glimpse, it might seem quite uncanny to compare two such seemingly dissimilar works as Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad and A Passage to India by E.M. Forster. Apart from disparity in their length and structure (Heart of Darkness: a novella, A Passage to India: a fully developed novel), the two narratives are separated by a generation and were produced in differing periods of each writerââ¬â¢s career. Each of the two novelists emerged from a very different background and had a very unique upbringing. In the case of Conrad, the novella is the direct outcome of his experiences as in charge of a small river steamboat in the African Congo in 1890. For his part, E.M. Forster, after having traveled so often through India, seems to have produced A Passage to India as a result of his own ââ¬Ëpassagesââ¬â¢ there. Regardless of all these factual differences, the two novels have much in common. Both works deal with the issues of colonialism and not only ââ¬Ëfallââ¬â¢ into the category of post-colonial literature, but doubtlessly trigger a lot of debatable problems related to colonialism that otherwise lay hidden under the feigned integrity of the British rule. Just as Heart of Darkness, though apparently dealing with an ordinary seamanââ¬â¢s journey, is claimed not to be a ââ¬Ëtypicalââ¬â¢ one, similarly, the ââ¬Å"Passageâ⬠that Mrs. Moore and Adela Quested take to India is a lot more than simply a passage. This multiplicity of meaning makes it quite obvious that both the novels must be comprehended at various reading levels in order to derive complete essence out of them. Both the novels carry the burden of factual evidence from specific eras of history. A Passage to India puts before our eyes the time of decline of the British Empire following World War I, while Heart of Darkness takes us into the realm of the European Imperial Powers resulting in a lot of scuttling in Africa. In this way, both E.M. Forster and Joseph Conrad can be taken as perfect examples of the writers who could explicitly voice the mood of a particular moment in history. The views of natives expressed in both the novels against ââ¬Ëimperialismââ¬â¢ and its impact are the epitome of their times. ââ¬ËSocial Darwinismââ¬â¢ and ââ¬ËEuro-centrismââ¬â¢ are two notions directly traced by both the novelists in a thorough manner. Only the ââ¬ËFittestââ¬â¢ could survive in the world depicted by them and the only possible ââ¬Ëcenterââ¬â¢ for the production of ââ¬Ëfitnessââ¬â¢ in that world was doubtlessly considered to be ââ¬ËEuropeââ¬â¢. The mastery of the production of outstanding characters that fix so well in their actual costumes of history can only be the trait of an exceptional writer. Both Conrad and Forster are bestowed with this trait which they exhibit well in these two masterpieces. Both stories are related from the viewpoints of European characters who find themselves in foreign lands as direct representatives of a European power or due to some connection with imperial activity, although A Passage to India is unusual in a way that it also throws light on the viewpoint of a colonial native. Conradââ¬â¢s characters take up their roles and move ahead with the flow. Kurtz is one of the most skillfully created characters in both psychological and moral terms. He is depicted as a representative of the entire Western civilization. Just like Ted Hughesââ¬â¢s ââ¬ËHawkââ¬â¢ in ââ¬ËHawk Roostingââ¬â¢ boasts about itself that: ââ¬ËIt took the whole of creation/To produce my foot, my each feather/ Now I hold Creation in my footââ¬â¢, similarly, ââ¬ËAll Europe contributed to making of Kurtzââ¬â¢ which gave vent to his ââ¬Ëunspeakable ritesââ¬â¢ and ââ¬Ëunsound methodsââ¬â¢. His conclusion at the end to ââ¬ËExterminate all the brutesâ⬠, seen in the political-cum-moral dimension, can be considered as capitalist exploitation aspiring at world supremacy. Forsterââ¬â¢s characters are very strong and fully developed. Like Conrad, we find him focusing on the trials of the individual in a situation of moral isolation leading either to destruction or illumination. Dr. Aziz, a mess of extremes and contradictions, seems to be an embodiment of Forsterââ¬â¢s notion of the ââ¬Ëmuddleââ¬â¢ of India. Directly or indirectly, Forster wants us to see many of the characteristics of Dr. Aziz as the traits of many of the Indians in general. Fielding is yet another interesting character in the novel. Just as Marlow serves as an intermediary between the two ex tremes of Kurtz and the Company, similarly, Fielding appears to be a moderator between the Court and Dr. Aziz. Human Relations and their limitations is yet another very important aspect recurring time and again in both the novels. Forster is exceedingly drifted towards humanistic philosophy and his characters turn out to be good subjects for psychoanalysis. Nowhere do we find his voice clearer and louder than in A Passage to India, in which human relations are pushed to the very limits, trying to break boundaries of numerous kinds and attempting to bridge the gap between cultures and castes, a gap that remains as wide as ever by the end. Despite Dr. Azizââ¬â¢s claim that This picnic is nothing to do with English or Indian; it is an expedition of friends, he has to pay a heavy price for attempting to be intimate with English people even though everything gets resolved in his favor ultimately. We certainly agree with the idea the result is just a disaster ââ¬Ëwhen English people and Indians attempt to be intimate socially.ââ¬â¢ Similarly, Heart of Darkness can also be studied as Marlow ââ¬â¢s journey into the depths of human psyche and relations. The darkness becomes a prejudice that fails to see other culture as humans and rejects all sorts of intimacy between people of different races. Symbolism is an important tool for writers. But for some particular writers, this tool turns into a very powerful weapon with which they can not only defend their thoughts well but very skillfully convince their readers to support their standpoint. Both Conrad and Forster own this very weapon and utilize it fully in their work. The landscape, rivers, caves and even various characters are taken as symbols representing very complex ideas. Darkness is associated with almost all the places and people that Marlow comes across including his own self. The river Thames, like the dark Africa, turns out to be one of the dark places. ââ¬ËAnd this also,ââ¬â¢ said Marlow suddenly, ââ¬Ëhas been one of the dark places of the worldââ¬â¢ (Conrad 7). The river that Marlow travels in serves as a multi-level symbol in the novel as do the Marabar Caves in A Passage to India. Each of these ââ¬Ënatureââ¬â¢ symbols represents not only a number of ideas but at the same time they remain the vague center of each idea. The river that, according to Marlow, resembled ââ¬Ëan immense snake uncoiled, with its head in the sea, its body at rest, curving afar over a vast country, and its tail lost in the depths of the landââ¬â¢ reminds us of the snakes that Dr.Aziz mentions to Mrs. Moore , saying, ââ¬Å"There are bad characters about and leopards may come across from the Marabar Hills. Snakes also. The experience that Miss Quested had at the caves can also be taken as the realization of her own inner darkness. The hysteria she experienced afterwards could also be compared with the last words of Kurtz, ââ¬ËThe horror, the horrorââ¬â¢. The Fact that Mrs. Moore had a similar feeling of awe after hearing the echo in one of the caves is another hint into the power of the symbol of Caves. Dark as they apparently are, these caves seem to be laden with the ability to throw light on the inner darkness of humans. Like Coleridgeââ¬â¢s ââ¬Ëcaverns measureless to man/down to a sunless seaââ¬â¢ presented in ââ¬ËKubla Khanââ¬â¢ , these Malabar caves of India have their own awe, their own terror and their own dreadful impact. The endings of both the novels leave a somewhat similar impact on the readers. While everything seems to ââ¬Ëlead into the heart of an immense darknessââ¬â¢ for Conradââ¬â¢s protagonist, all the forces of nature seem to deny the union of East and West in the world of Dr. Aziz and Fielding. ââ¬ËNo, not yet,ââ¬â¢ and the sky said, ââ¬ËNo, not there.ââ¬â¢

The Han Dynasty vs The Roman Empire free essay sample
The Roman Empire and the Han Dynasty of China had many similarities and differences. Many of these similarities and differences were political, social, and economical. Some of the similarities included the resemblances of political figures, the role of women, and the parallels in each empireââ¬â¢s trade. Some differences included the contrasts of the forms of government, the spheres of influence for each empire, and the military expeditions led by the empires. These similarities and differences portrayed the parallels that showed their power and the differences that marked them as separate. The similarities in the political figures between the Han Dynasty and the Roman Empire were clear. The Martial Emperor Wudi of the Han Dynasty and Octavian, later known as Augustus Caesar, both have corresponding achievements that were both good for their respective empires. Both rulers reorganized the army and gained much land. Augustus Caesar gained more land for Rome than any other Roman ruler. We will write a custom essay sample on The Han Dynasty vs The Roman Empire or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page Han Wudi achieved the most land for China than any other previous ruler as well. Augustus Caesar gave more self-government to their provinces and districts to maintain order. This was also so that they could focus on their empires as a whole rather than worry about local affairs. Han Wudi did something similar when he sent imperial officers to implement his policies and maintain order in administrative provinces and districts. Both rulers created large bureaucracies to administer their empires and they both worked strenuously to increase the authority and prestige of the central government. These similarities between the two political figures displayed both empiresââ¬â¢ wealth and stability. They both encouraged the construction of institutional frameworks that promoted the long-term survival of their own respective cultures. The role of women in both the Han Dynasty in China and the Roman Empire were very similar. During the Han Dynasty, women were to be submissive to their husbands and sons. They were also supposed to work hard in the home with very little reward. In the Roman Empire, women were to be loyal to their fathers and marry at a young age and to the man assigned to them by their father. However, in both the Han Dynasty and the Roman Empire, some women had influence and power. In the Han Dynasty, Ban Zhao went against convention and began writing professionally. Although she encouraged women to obey the Confucian social order, she also encouraged women to become industrious. In the Roman Empire, many women played large roles in managing their familiesââ¬â¢ financial affairs. Although Roman law placed strict limits on the ability of women to receive inheritances, much like the Confucian social order, enforcement was inconsistent, and clever individuals found ways to evade the law or take advantage of its loopholes. Women came to possess a great deal of property and many supervised the financial affairs of family businesses and wealthy estates. The trade during the time of the Roman Empire and the Han Dynasty were very similar. Both the Han Dynasty and the Roman Empire used the silk trade routes, particularly over land. These trade routes were virtually the only thing that connected the two empires together. Other than these trade routes, the Roman Empire and China had no connections. Both of these empires imposed military control over vast territories. They promoted trade and communication within their own empires, and fostered the spread of cultural and religious traditions to distant regions. The similarities between the two empires were clear and distinct, displaying both empiresââ¬â¢ wealth and stability. The differences between the two empires were also prominent during the time of their corresponding existences. One of the main differences between the Han Dynasty and the Roman Empire were their separate forms of government. In Rome, there were many different shifts in the type of government that existed. First, a republic was established, in which freedom and the right to vote were given to the common people. However, as the empire grew, it became evident that the constitution of the Roman republic, originally designed for a small city-state, was not suitable for a large and growing empire. Formal political power remained in the hands of a small, privileged class of people in Rome. The need to administer conquered lands efficiently strained the capacities of the republican constitution. During the first century BCE and first century CE, Roman civil and military leaders gradually dismantled the republican constitution and imposed a centralized imperial form of government on the city of Rome and its empire. However, in China, there was no such shifts in power. The Han Dynasty was ruled by an emperor who ruled solely and supremely. The emperor consolidated the tradition of centralized imperial rule that was pioneered by the Qin Dynasty. Emperors like Han Wudi worked to increase the authority and prestige of the central government. He built an enormous bureaucracy that even the Roman Empire hadnââ¬â¢t engineered. Both empires had spheres of influence. However, the spheres of influence for each empire were unique and different in their size and shape. The Roman Empire reached its greatest height under the Roman general Trajan, which was a total of 6 million square miles. The Romans influenced everybody that they conquered and traded with. Many aspects of todays society have been affected by ancient Rome. Creation of law, development of democratic government practices, influences in language, literature, art, infrastructure, and city-planning are all areas where the influences of Roman ideas can be seen. Additionally, Roman influences have had considerable importance in the spread of Christianity. The Han Dynasty, however, had a limited sphere of influence. Although they traded along the silk trade routes, China remained isolated and kept to themselves. During the Han Dynasty, the only places to receive Chinese influence were the conquered lands that were claimed by Han Wudi. The military expeditions of the Han Dynasty and the Roman Empire differed greatly during the times of their existence. During the Roman Empire, military expeditions were not uncommon. The Roman Empire ruled land throughout Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. These military conquests were prominent throughout history under many different generals and emperors. However, during the Han Dynasty, there was only one time where China had military conquests, and it was under the emperor Han Wudi. This was the time that the Han Dynasty expanded the most while the Roman Empire expanded greatly over a series of years and under many different emperors. The Roman Empire and the Han Dynasty had its fair share of similarities and differences. Many of these were related to each empireââ¬â¢s economy, government, and social structure. Despite their many similarities, the Han Dynasty and the Roman Empire were very different. Their culture differed greatly, as did their sphere of influence and their government and economy. However, they were very similar. Both were huge empires and both had large influences that can be seen even today.
